This tactile range is a collaboration between art jeweller Samantha

and plastic designer Stella Corrall. Their aim was to produce a wearable

yet elegant range that fuses Sam's and Steella's desire to use recycled

materials in a simple understated way. Stella has made the the bespoke

material from encapsulating recycled plastics and threads in her

translusent plastics. Through Sam's stylish interpretation and Stella's

production techneques each piece becomes desirably unique.

The interest whithin textile components, techniques and especially

'The Thead of Society' spool range came from growing up locally whithin

the textile industry that once built our society, and playing with her nan's

sewing box, creates fond memories of the objects that makes a precious

piece of jewellery.

Influenced strongly by Marcel Duchamps ready mades and the creative

act, not only applies this to her work but also within her workshop

facilliation and project managment for various organisations.
